The all-new Alpine S-Series speakers offer an amazing price vs. In short these Alpine speakers are very impressive and a recommended buy from Car Audio Centre. Silk Dome tweeter gives the clarity and precision of crystal clear upper frequency without the harshness. Larger than average voice coil size allows for improve power handling, using the same technology as on the competition X Series. The cone material has been newly developed by Alpine and we believe is a World’s First use of such material, CFRP (Carbon Fibre Reinforced Pastic) the use of this design gives light-weight combined with extreme strength resulting in clean and powerful bass with accuracy. This is very rare for speakers of this size. Looking at the speaker you will see that the rubber surround is nothing like what you would expect on such a small speaker, usually found on subwoofers, the new design allows for extend bass frequencies.
While the price of these is lower than the SPR series the performance is nothing short of it. It’s rare to be excited at speakers at this price level however we at Car Audio Centre think Alpine have really set a new level on launching the new SS Series.
